I had the honor recently of being involved in a very special project. A local photographer, whose wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 shortly after myself, decided to make a book filled with survivors and their stories in order to help empower and support other women on their journey. Over the course of one year he photographed 60 local women who are breast cancer survivors of all ages and in all stages of their journey.
The launch party for the book was last night and it was spectacular! There were a lot of laughs and a few tears mixed with wonderful people and great memories. Here are some snapshots of the event.
The night was started with all 60 women walking the “pink carpet” each with a pink rose. We had a wonderful dinner and watched a video of the making of the book. Lots of laughs. Then we had some entertainment from some professional dancers and some of the survivors. More laughs. Then we danced the night away to a wonderful band.
A big thanks to my very special hubby who has stuck by me through all the craziness. All of the women last night were beautiful, their stories inspirational, and their friendship and support out of this world….I love you all!
